Hi Dave.
It is all a question of data rate, and 1200bd is not the answer. 9600 bd is
still quite slow, but if you have a direct link to an TCPIP-server or
HTML-BBS it is good enough to read messages.
Also the BCM-mailbox software makes it possible to view pictures directly if
they had been uploaded with the BIN protocoll - no 7plus needed...
You can watch how they build up on your browser as data is coming in.
Any higher data rate (some user access here run over 100kbd) is then
sufficient enough to exchange other content than just mails and pictures;
direct audio connects or even live video streams on packet is possible!
