You can't compare 7+ jpg's with HTML.

Reviewing HTML before releasing is totally different to multipart jpg's.

We had all this discussion about HTML about 6 to 8 years ago at a time when
what started as simple HTML became bloated HTML.

Many Bulls contained wav files and some with the capacity to listen to
alternative tunes, all adding more and more to beat the last one sent out.

Trying to read text only, if you didn't want to use HTML, meant using a code
stripper. All this to read a few lines of text.

And as far as Sysops are concerned it's easy to miss some embedded item that
shouldn't be sent under the terms of the licence.

Fine if we were all totally trustworthy. But why do you think Sysops review
Bulletins. Answer..... because every now and then someone will flout the
rules, either deliberately or in error.

And then each and every Sysop has a different viewpoint on what is allowed.
That is their right.

Is it worth all the aggro?

You say Packet is struggling to keep going. Do you really think that HTML is
going to improve the situation? It didn't back in the nineties.

It produce plenty of bytes but little useful content.

And finally......

You included the following HTML in your bulletin (as you did in a previous
one) which does not produce any result in my browser however much I try. So
what was the point of sending it?

It didn't work in my HTML code tester either.
